Split a pizza with the family, or indulge in some pretzels, nachos, or fries as an appetizer. You’ll find plenty of Texas favorites here, including brisket, hot dogs, and hamburgers. Sharkey’s Cafe is the main eatery at The Colony, so it’s where you’ll need to go for sustenance during a daylong excursion. More chill slides at the park include the Honolulu Lulu, the Hawaiian Halfpipe, and the Pipeline. Be prepared to wait for these intense attractions. Some of the most popular slides at the park are the Waikiki Wipeout, a 65-foot tall body slide that plummets you to the pool below the Torpedo, an accelerating launch that splashes you into the water and the Flyin’ Hawaiian, a twisting 65-foot tall slide that spirals you through the air. The main pools at the park are the Breaker Bay wave pool and Cabana Cove, so you can hit these up any time the lines get too long at the other attractions. The most important part of your day at The Colony is deciding which rides to go on. Island bungalows start at $300, private cabanas start at $100, and the exclusive elite cabana starts at $200. Retreat into an island bungalow big enough for the whole family, relax in a private cabana alongside the pool, or grab an exclusive elite cabana for the ultimate seclusion. The Texas sun is unforgiving, so give yourself some shade by renting a cabana for the day. Small lockers cost $10, medium lockers cost $15, and large lockers cost $20 for all-day use. There are small, medium, and large sizes available, and all you have to do is use the self-pay kiosk to get started. Once you arrive at the park, make sure to rent a locker to secure your belongings. However, you can bring in plenty of granola bars, chips, and other munchies to tide you over during a long day in the sun. You aren’t allowed to bring in any cooked, catered, or prepared food, including fast food, pizza, or entire meals, so you’ll probably still need to buy some food while you’re there. The Colony does allow you to bring in some of your own snacks. Gather up the family and use this guide to plan the ultimate day at The Colony. This massive water park is one of the best in the entire state of Texas, featuring numerous attractions to entertain both kids and adults.
